🕊️ The Process

How to Send Your Loved One’s Urn for Ocean Ash Scattering

We understand the trust you place in us. At Everblue Memorials, we are committed to handling your loved one’s urn with the utmost respect and care. Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

Step 1: Prepare the Urn for Shipping

  • If the urn is already sealed, there is no need to open or alter it.

  • Place the urn in a protective layer of soft padding (such as bubble wrap, foam, or towel) to keep it secure during transit.

  • Place the padded urn in a sturdy shipping box with additional cushioning to prevent any movement.

Step 2: Include the Required Documents

  • Include the completed Authorization & Identification Form (provided after checkout).

  • Write your order confirmation number clearly on a note or the form.

  • If you are including a personal message or eulogy for your tribute, you may place it in the box as well.

Step 3: Ship Using USPS Priority Mail Express

  • Cremated remains must be shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail Express only.

  • Let the postal clerk know the package contains cremated remains—they will apply Label 139, which is required by USPS.

  • Retain your tracking number for peace of mind.

  • Our mailing address and instructions will be provided after your order is placed.

Step 4: Confirmation & Ceremony

  • Once we receive your urn, we will send you a confirmation email within 24 hours.

  • The email will include:

    • Acknowledgment of receipt

    • Estimated scattering date

    • Any final details about your selected tribute

  • Following the ceremony, you will receive:

    • A certificate of scattering with the precise ocean coordinates

    • A photo or video tribute (depending on your package)

    • A personalized thank-you message and keepsake plaque if selected

📦 Shipping Reminders

  • Do not ship with FedEx or UPS — only USPS Priority Mail Express is approved for shipping cremated remains.

  • Ensure the urn is securely packed to avoid damage in transit.

  • Please contact us if you need help locating a local USPS location or have any concerns about shipping.
